The Alcove has two parking spaces with one designated as accessible parking only. Neighborhood and street parking is available, but may be limited.
Parking in the neighboring lot at 201 Broadway is prohibited and may result in towing. We strongly recommend visitors consider public transportation or taking a car service.

Bus
The Alcove can be reached by taking the RIPTA Route 28 (Broadway/Hartford) transit line from Kennedy Plaza. The closest bus stop to our location is Broadway after Pallas Street. For real-time schedules and other route options use RIPTA’s trip planner.Commuter Rail
Take the MBTA Commuter Rail Providence/Stoughton Line to Providence Station. From Providence Station, The Alcove is a mile walk or short taxi/ride share trip. Map your route using the MBTA trip planner. -
The Alcove is reachable by car from western Rhode Island (via Route 6), north-south traffic (via I-95), and east-west travelers (via I-195).

The closest paid parking lots are at 280 Broadway and 107 Federal Street, both approximately a 4 minute walk to The Alcove.
In addition to taxis, a number of ride share companies service the Providence area, including Lyft and Uber.

The Alcove has two bike racks that can accommodate four bikes in total. There are also two outlets to charge electric bikes.
Visitor Information
The Alcove’s first floor is free and open to the public during regular business hours. Explore our Portrait Gallery and browse our Biographical Library during your visit.
