Gather with us for Beyond the Bio, a free speaker series featuring women and gender expansive people from Rhode Island and beyond. Each event offers space for deep listening and meaningful conversation. Expect powerful storytelling, audience Q+A, and a chance to meet speakers in an intimate, community-centered setting.

This month, we’re honored to welcome our first speaker duo: Akanksha Aga and Kristen Adamo

Akanksha Aga is a cultural leader, professor, and the founder of Breaking Bread, a nonprofit dedicated to developing people through mentoring. With over 20 years of experience in hospitality, foodservice, and higher education, Akanksha is dedicated to building cultures of inclusion & excellence. 

Kristen Adamo, who also serves on the Board of Directors for Breaking Bread, is the president and CEO of the Providence Warwick Convention & Visitors Bureau (PWCVB)—a non-profit organization responsible for promoting the cities of Providence and Warwick to meeting and convention planners, as well as the city of Providence as a top leisure destination—and its subsidiary, the Rhode Island Sports Commission.

This is a ticketed event. Suggested donations of $10 per ticket helps support free public programs for women and gender expansive people.
