Each event offers space for deep listening and meaningful conversation. Expect powerful storytelling, audience Q+A, and a chance to meet speakers in an intimate, community-centered setting.

This month, we’re honored to welcome leader Sandra Cano.

Sandra Cano is a strategic leader and relationship builder whose career spans higher education, economic development, public service, and community impact. As the inaugural Director of Industry and Corporate Relations at the University of Rhode Island Foundation and Alumni Engagement, she connects the university's research enterprise with industry partners to foster innovation, strengthen workforce development, and create opportunities that benefit students, businesses, and communities across Rhode Island and beyond.

Born and raised in Medellín, Colombia, Cano made Rhode Island her home in 2000. Her personal journey informs her commitment to expanding access, creating opportunity, and serving communities through collaborative leadership. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Management and Economics from Bryant University, a Master of Public Administration from the University of Rhode Island, and has completed executive leadership programs at the Harvard Kennedy School.

This is a ticketed event. Suggested donations of $5-10 per ticket helps support free public programs for women and gender expansive people.
